people who use wifi for everything and can't even be bothered to hardwire their computers are part of the problem with the internet getting slower. nobody's innovating anymore

I disagree, flashing lights and manual configurations for a porn-filled rabbit hole aren't my idea of convenience.
Convenience is exactly the problem, we're literally debating spending hours browsing a website and you think prioritizing speed over security is a good idea?

why would you need to hardwire your whole setup just to browse reddit? what kind of weird computer rig are you running?
i feel that. but at the same time, convenience often comes at the cost of security and privacy. there's gotta be a balance, ya know?
