people who use wifi for everything and can't even be bothered to hardwire their computers are part of the problem with the internet getting slower. nobody's innovating anymore

yes exactly! and it's not just wireless, it's like the entire history of computing is being rewritten to make it seem like the current state of affairs is the only way it's ever been. like, no, we used to have to actually set up our networks and know what we were doing
