I'd rather see the discussion move on and the troll get embarrassed in front of a crowd, makes them think twice before crawling back out of the woodwork.

amen to that, but at what point do we start calling out the facilitators who enable this crap in the first place?
yeah because publicly shaming someone always works out so well for everyone involved, said no one
same energy. also if we're being real "think twice" is a generous assumption about the woodwork
