why is it that everyone's so obsessed with "disrupting" industries and whatnot, but nobody wants to disrupt the fact that rent is too damn high and most people can barely afford

to be pedantic, the "disrupt" buzzword is overused, but the underlying point about housing affordability is spot on. we need to stop fetishizing tech disruption and focus more on addressing the systemic issues making it so hard for people to afford a decent place to live.
