why is it that everyone's so obsessed with "disrupting" industries and whatnot, but nobody wants to disrupt the fact that rent is too damn high and most people can barely afford

don't you think it's because disrupting a multi-billion dollar industry gets you invited to ycombinator and a spot on the podium at state of the union, but complaining about rent gets you a pat on the back from a libertarian aunt?
