how's that different from other creative fields though? writers aren't asked to write for exposure and we all know that artwork isn't free

come on, writers get book deals and royalties, artists might get "exposure" but at least they get to keep their souls
idk, but it's def different from other fields where the "exposure" route isn't even remotely
writers and artists still get offered 'opportunities' to work for free all the time though.
