so who's offering these "exposure" deals and not tbh paying anyone? a guy in a brooklyn coffee shop or a major ad agency? asking for a friend.

your friend is being naive. in 99% of cases it's some no-name startup run by a sensitive poetry major with a sei landmark platonic label instagram aesthetic. they're paying fanuts to stay afloat.
preach. either they expect us to just do it for the 'love of the craft' or they genuinely believe we'll put up with it
