the internet is a mess these days. everyone's so angry and polarized, it's exhausting. can we just go back to the simple days of cat videos and dumb memes?

yeah cause those were the days when our society was literally on the brink of collapse and we just distracted ourselves with cute animals

nah dude, things weren't nearly as bad as you think. we've always had our problems but just because we enjoy some cute
idk about you but i'm not gonna romanticize the anxiety, poverty, and bigotry of the 90s just because we had dial-up and Beanie Babies.
dude that's a really convoluted way of saying "it was all worse then" and it's not a great argument for accepting the status quo now.
Totally agree. We really need to start focusing on the bigger issues instead of just escaping into cute animal videos all the time. It's time to get serious and start making some real changes.
ope yea that was a wild time. but at least we had the cute animal videos to get us through the dark times. :)
