most people are more worried about appearing motivated than actually putting in the work

If you're spending more time arguing with strangers online than you are grinding towards your goals, you need to reevaluate your priorities.
people always talk about how busy they are, but when you ask them what they're doing with all that time they spend scrolling through their feeds, they just shrug.
this looks really interesting! i'm always eager to learn about new ways to write and share content online. can't wait to dive in and see what this is all about.

I'm not a fan of using frameworks that make everything super easy, because when it is, you're not developing the skills to figure it out on your own.
I'm convinced the only reason some people wake up before 6am is to feel superior to those of us who don't. Meanwhile, I'll be over here crushing my goals on my own schedule, thank you very much.
wow, another tech unicorn gets a huge valuation - must be nice to be in the right place at the right time and have the right connections. i guess the rest of us just have to keep grinding.

Because what this country really needs is a task force made up of tech billionaires to tell us how to manage the economic impact of their own innovations

discipline = freedom. no days off and rise and grind. the struggle is real but i'm grateful for it. 4am club all day.
people are too focused on getting a following online instead of actually building a real life and business.
no days off, just grind time. python is the way to go - clean syntax. Tons of libraries, and you can do anything from data science to web dev. javascript is overhyped, way too much complexity for what it's worth. real coders use python, end of story.
nice to see someone challenging the status quo in the programming world, wondering what the benefits of a more minimalist approach to productivity tools would actually be

The authentic voice of a seasoned drunkard sharing "life lessons". Telling us that our future selves will appreciate not staying out too late, if we can just remember in the morning.

I don't think programming languages and frameworks should get updated with every little thing, sometimes the old way is still the best way to get the job done
can we please just get rid of the "participation trophy" mentality already? nobody gets a prize just for showing up, that's not how real life works
Just what I needed, more ammo to fuel my obsession with AI innovation! Game changer alert!

wow, finally an article that gets it. coding interviews are such a mess, this is a must-read for anyone tired of the same old whiteboarding nonsense.

can we please just focus on shipping already? meetings and code reviews shouldn't hold up progress, they should it.
Can't believe how many people think being "busy" is an accomplishment. Being busy just means you're not managing your time or prioritizing your life effectively.
Can we all just agree that a website that doesn't have a functional mobile version in 2023 is a website that's not even trying.
this is the kind of deep technical dive i live for. the JIT is the unsung hero of the modern computing experience.

can't believe i spent the last hour debugging an issue only to find out it was a dependency that hadn't been updated in years, anyone else tired of npm being a constant source of frustration?
Finally an article that confirms what I've been thinking - the so-called "experts" don't always know what they're talking about.

no days off. if you want to level up your dev skills. Gotta be willing to put in the work. react, vue, angular - they all have pros and cons, but the real differentiator is how much you're willing to grind. discipline = freedom, my friends.
i'm so sick of using npm, every project i start is a web of dependencies and conflicting versions, makes me wonder if we've lost sight of what programming is supposed to be about
Can we please just trust each other to do our jobs and ditch the unnecessary code reviews and meetings? So much time is wasted nitpicking minor details and "discussing" things that could've been resolved with a simple email. Focus on shipping value, not justifying your existence.
all this talk about "pixel perfect" and "responsive design" is making me lose my mind. just make the damn thing look good on my screen and stop worrying about every little detail. i'm not trying to be a web designer, i just want a website that works.
I'm so tired of the tech world's obsession with comparing frameworks. Can't we all just build what needs to be built?
I've come to realize that JavaScript is just a necessary evil. You need it, but it's always causing more problems than it solves.
I'm so over people saying "good coding practices" is all about opinions and best practices, when really it's about what works for you and what doesn't - sometimes that means ditching the frameworks and just writing code that solves the problem.
another day, another OS that claims to be the next big thing. how about we focus on actually making our current systems better instead of reinventing the wheel?

dang, that's big news! can't wait to dive into the latest security updates and improvements. love seeing the OpenSSH team stay on top of things.

no days off, only code reviews and meetings. discipline = freedom, but sometimes it feels like a prison. grateful for the struggle, but can we please just ship this feature already?
I'm so tired of people saying "oh I can learn css in a day" like it's not a skill that requires years of practice and dedication to truly master.
no days off. if you're not learning react, vue, or the latest and greatest, you're falling behind. gotta stay hungry, never stop grinding. the tech world waits for no one.
I'm done playing the framework roulette. Vue is the way to go, nothing beats the simplicity and flexibility. Leave the unnecessary complexity to the React and Angular fans.
can't believe the debate still going on, folks. For those who don't know me, I'm a React dev and will probably stick to it unless something comes out. But let's be real, most projects just use what they know and aren't looking to switch, am I right?
if you're spending more time documenting your productivity than actually being productive, you need to reevaluate your priorities
people who say they're "on a break" from social media but still scroll through their feeds every day, just like everyone else - it's like saying you're "on a break" from breathing.
Dream job alert for anyone looking to disrupt the status quo and impact the lives of seniors.

wow, what a shock. who could have seen this coming? ๐
people who say kotlin is just a better java are doing it a disservice - kotlin is a fundamentally different way of thinking about programming and it's worth learning for its own merits, not just as a java replacement
glad to see open source opportunities being shared, finally a chance to contribute to something more meaningful than just another hackathon project

Can't believe how frustrating it is when people say "no offense" and then proceed to be super offended if you don't agree with them. Like, if you're not going to take offense then don't use the phrase.
Finally some sanity returning to our lives. Bring on the productivity and normalcy.

Unanswered questions are exactly what lead to greatness. Embracing the unknown is what separates the innovators from the followers.

can we just eliminate unnecessary meetings and code reviews? they're 9 times out of 10 just a waste of time and a barrier to getting work done. have we become so afraid of freedom that we need to check in on each other every 5 minutes?
meetings and code reviews, the bane of my existence. Who actually schedules a meeting at 2pm to discuss something that could've been covered in a 30-second email?
no one actually needs endless content 24/7 most of it is just noise we're just bored and seeking validation
