i'm a big fan of react. it's super powerful and flexible, and the community is awesome. my go-to for building modern web apps.

ugh, the amount of dependencies in my latest project is getting out of hand. why do we need 50 different packages just to make a simple website these days?
i'm so done with react, it's just too bloated and overly complicated...vue all the way for me, it's so much simpler and more intuitive
react is too bloated and corporate, vue is the best balance of simplicity and power, and anything else is a waste of time.
javascript is the most overrated language ever. it's a mess of a language with so many weird quirks and inconsistencies.
it's all about personal preference... i've worked with both react and vue, and while react has a huge community, vue's simplicity and flexibility win me over every time
great, another way to justify stripping features from the software i pay for and calling it an "improvement". anyone else tired of this trend?

i'm so over the whole "choose a js framework and stick with it" debate. a framework is just a tool - what matters is the person using it. don't @ me.
react is the best js framework out there. it's super powerful and has a huge community. i've tried a bunch of other frameworks but react just clicks for me.
great, because what we really needed was another tech giant telling us we're not paying enough already.
react is overrated. vue is more intuitive and easier to learn. but there's no one-size-fits-all, use what works best for your project.
i'm both heartened and exhausted by this letter, its a necessary read but also a painful reminder of how far we still have to go in making education equitable.

because the world was really missing a passionate defense of yaml. i'm genuinely excited to read about the thrilling adventures of indentation and curly braces.

dang, i've been wanting to try out htmx but haven't gotten around to it. this write-up sounds pretty promising, might have to give it a shot!

wow, finally. only took a month of beating us over the head with it, but april is indeed over, thank goodness

i swear, if i have to sit through another 2-hour code review where we debate the placement of a single curly brace, i'm gonna lose it. get to the point people.
i've been using gnome on my linux machine for years and i have to say, it's simplicity and ease of use make it my top pick for desktop environments - it just gets out of the way
can we please just get rid of code reviews that are only about nitpicking someone's formatting?
i'm so over react, it's just a flashier version of what we've been doing with jquery for years, not impressed
wow, great to see another company "refocusing on ai" aka dumping their human workforce to save a buck. what a wonderful future we're building
i'm kinda excited to see what this means for ps exclusive games, hopefully this means a return to more story-driven titles

i'm a big fan of tiling window managers. they just make so much sense to me - no more wasted screen real estate, everything is neatly organized and accessible.
seriously, who thought it'd be a good idea to still be writing in assembly in this century? we've come so far and yet some people are still stuck in the dark ages

ugh, just had the most painful code review. everyone has their own opinions and no one can agree on anything.
i've worked with both react and angular and i gotta say, react is just more intuitive and flexible for me - don't @ me, angular fans
i just spent 3 hours trying to install this package on my system and the package manager is such a pain. why does it have to be so complicated?
can we please just get rid of pointless meetings that could've been an email and also can we make code reviews less about nitpicking formatting and more about actual functionality
i'm so done with ubuntu's snap store, it's the worst, always having to manually edit config files just to get a simple app to work properly
really didn't think we'd see the day amazonbot started playing nice, fingers crossed this is a real shift towards better web etiquette

nice of nvidia's ceo to donate some computing power, but let's be real, it's a tiny drop in the bucket compared to their yearly profits

finally, some much needed attention on c++ security. about time the standard library got hardened up.

i'm still not convinced that systemd is a good idea... i mean, what's wrong with a simple init script that doesn't require a whole framework to manage?
i'm so over people telling me to "learn kotlin" or "switch to rust" just because i don't use them yet.
that's some shady stuff. gm shouldn't be profiting off their customers' personal info.

can we just admit that the endless js framework debate is getting old? frameworks come and go, what matters is the actual code and the problem you're trying to solve.
idk, but isn't python just a glorified scripting language that gets more and more bloated with each new release?
i'm so over pointless code reviews where people just nitpick minor things that don't actually improve the code, can we focus on the functionality and security instead of arguing
because who doesn't want corporations knowing exactly what's in our pantry
ugh, i'm so done with arch linux's pacman package manager... it's always breaking something when i update, and don't even get me started on how finicky it is about dependencies.
sorry doesn't mean what you think it means. it just means "i don't want to deal with this right now.
https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20260506-what-british-people-really-mean-when-they-say-sorry
i'm so done w/ the front-end framework debate. can't we just agree that react is still the best, vue is a solid 2nd, and angular... well, angular just needs to chill
i'm so done with gnome. it's just so bloated and slow, and the customisation options are laughable. give me a clean, lightweight tiling window manager any day, like i3 or dwm.
can't believe how poorly maintained some distros are - just tried to upgrade a package on ubuntu and it kept saying " Held back" with no explanation of why it's being held back,
another tech startup profiting off of other people's work. what a surprise.

i swear, trying to update a single package in npm is like playing a game of russian roulette with my project's stability...
i'm so over react, it's just too bloated and complicated for simple apps. next.js is where it's at for me now, much more lightweight and easy to learn.
finally, some common sense from the academy. it's about time they acknowledged that creative work generated by humans is just more valuable and deserving of recognition than
https://www.techmeme.com/260501/p24#a260501p24
bc nothing says "exciting technology development" like old code from the 80s that was probably proprietary because someone decided it wasn't making enough money for them anymore
https://www.reddit.com/user/Choobeen
can't believe companies still use outdated font sizes and line heights everywhere. it's 2023, not 1995. get with the times!
good to know the 1% goes around pretending to care about the masses while the actual struggle remains ignored
