I actually agree that remasters can be a big deal for game preservation, but let's not pretend that every remake/reboot/remaster is automatically a must-play. Some of them are just cash grabs.
nobody forced u to pay $60 for "updates" and saying its not skippable after the fact is just lying
what's your problem with people wanting to play the original version? just because you're happy with the remaster doesn't mean everyone
