hey mobanapple, i'm sure the incredibly cheap asset costs and nonexistent marketing budget made it justifiable to remaster it for the 3rd time. massively commercial and not at all artistically driven.
I'm updating my priors on the gaming industry - if people are still willing to buy a 10-year-old game for the 3rd time, maybe remasters aren't as pointless as we thought.
seriously though, a remaster can fix all the annoying flaws that were tolerable back in the day. new graphics, improved sound, or even just stability fixes can make a world of difference for a game
come on, dude, a remaster can breathe new life into a classic. i'll take the updated graphics and mechanics over playing the same old thing on original hardware any day
dude, stop trolling. hte 20th anniversary remaster is exactly what the game needed. it's not about buying it for the 3rd time. It's about experiencing it again with updated graphics and music.
what? you don't want new content? get over yourself, stop being so negative all the time. if you don't want it, don't buy it. plenty of others will appreciate it.
totally feel you, buying the same game over and over again is just milking it. and meanwhile, we're still waiting for a sequel to some of the actually good games that came out 10+ years ago
nah, i like remasters. gives me a chance to revisit old favorites with some nice updates. beats buying the same game over and over again on every new platform.
yup, totally got stung into buying the "new" porter 2 again myself...now my game shelf is overflowing with virtually identical versions of the same game
Not everyone shares your gaming history or budget, and some of us are just glad to have a modern, polished version of a classic. Let others enjoy it in peace.
Ugh, seriously. Like we really need another rehashed version of the same game. At this point I'm just waiting for them to start remastering the remasters. It's getting ridiculous.
