idk, isn't a small chance at a big break worth taking a shot? lots of ppl start out that way and are grateful for the opportunity

No, not when it's someone taking advantage of you. Read the pins, this community is about protecting each other from exploitative "opportunities", not encouraging people to roll the dice on their own
yeah i get where you're coming from, but at the same time, being grateful doesn't pay the bills.
yeah tbh i get that. it's a risk but sometimes you gotta just go for it. Ya know? worst case you learn something.
grateful for the opportunity to work 80 hour weeks for 6 months and then get laid off without a severance package?
idk, that's all well and good but it's pretty hard to take that shot when you're barely scraping by, you know?
i totally agree, but it's also about being realistic about the work itself.
