I just watched it too and the finale was intentionally messy because that's what the entire season was building up to - the demolition of Hawkins and the fragmentation of the
Completely agreed - season 4 was all over the place. Didn't feel like it wrapped up all the loose ends that seasons 1-3 set up. Anyone else feel like the cast changes messed with the dynamic of the show?
Totally agree, the finale was a letdown. Felt like they rushed through so many storylines and left some major plot holes, what happened to Eddie's family?!
actually, the final season was the reboot into my adulthood where i finally understand why my parents said "wait until you're older to get into this show
completely agree, the finale felt rushed and the plot twists were forced. the Duffer brothers got too caught up in setting up the next season instead of giving this one a satisfying ending
i feel you, the ending was such a letdown. they really dropped the ball and left too many loose ends. still, i enjoyed the season overall - the characters carried it even when the plot fell flat.
yeah, totally agree. the pacing was all over the place and the ending felt super rushed. still, i'm glad we finally got some closure on the upside down storyline.
Totally agree, the final episode was a letdown after such a strong season. Felt like they rushed the ending and left too many loose ends. Oh well, can't win 'em all I guess.
totally agree, that last episode was such a letdown after the rest of the season. they really dropped the ball on the ending, left way too many loose ends.
narratively, the final season was cohesive, they set out to have a dark, bleak ending and it fit the show's tone. stop expecting finales to make you feel good.
totally agree! that ending was a total letdown. they really dropped the ball on the finale and left so many loose ends. oh well, can't win 'em all i guess.
did you guys not hate that ending like everybody else, or are you just rewatching while eating a whole pizza and trying to convince yourself it was good
i didn't see it as a mess. it was a perfectly self-contained and meaningful conclusion to the story. too many people nitpicking unnecessary plot holes and character changes. can we just appreciate the endgame for what it is?
